Fostering Together

Did you know that there are 46 500 Children in care in Australia?
4600 in Western Australia.

And that is just the number under the care of the department of communities (or equivalent) and doesn’t include family relationships, particularly with Grandparents coming to care for their grandchildren.

Kids come in to care for many reasons, the most being Neglect, Abuse, Domestic Violence or because a parent is sick or injured.
The purpose of foster care is to provide a temporary, safe, therapeutic healing home for children. Foster carers help children to keep connected with their birth family and maintain a sense of identity.
Simple Right!?!

We started our foster care journey in 2010. Children have been in our home for 1 night to 2 years.

Our commitment is to be a safe place for children to know that families love and care for one another and help them transition to their forever home
